Quality craftsmanship meets high tech. This is a yacht that was built in an era when strength and quality were paramount in yacht building. Add to this, owners with advanced knowledge, in technical disciplines and an extensive refit in 2010/11 ($750,000) and you have possibly the most advanced yacht available in Australasia.
With a doctorate in Engineering, specialising in Energy and the advancements in technology, plus the desire to create the best. The owners have created one of the most technologically advanced yachts, that’s not a super yacht.
No expense has been spared in the pursuit of creating the ultimate blue water cruising yacht. Energy efficiency has been optimised, with no incandescent lights onboard, every light is LED, and every appliance and electronic device is the lowest power draw available. Lithium batteries supply the house, with 8.6kw available, you can run the 24 volt air conditioning without the noise of a generator running. Highly efficient drawer refrigerators, freezer and dishwasher are all quietly adding to the comfort and ease of living onboard.
Safety is realised in the galley by having no gas. Instead a gimballed ceramic cook top and oven unit powered by diesel and made by the reputable Wallas Company. It show-cases the advancements in onboard cooking equipment, that doesn't rely on electricity or gas. On deck safety is further enhanced by custom stainless railings that run all the way from the davits and push pit to forward of the centre cockpit.
Short handed sailing and marina manoeuvring are also well catered to. The helm pod with advanced Simrad plotter with broadband radar, pushbutton main and mizzen hydraulic furling, trapdoor bow thruster control and anchor remote are some of the features. Additionally the head sail sheets lead back to the powerful electric primary winches lateral to the helm.
When you reach a destination or leave this yacht at a Marina, the magnificent full length shade cover will keep the yacht protected from the elements and cool in tropical climates.
Four cabins make this yacht capable of accommodating 9 people, in berths a breeze. The owner's stateroom aft is spacious, light and airy and comfortable. It even includes a bidet head.
