"I recently completed the purchase of a motor yacht through Ensign Ship Brokers on the Gold Coast. As I live over a thousand miles away in Port Moresby, I was unable to be present for the numerous steps required to gather information, make the decision and consummate the purchase. The brokers at Ensign did a thoroughly professional job acting as a go- between for the negotiations, arranging a survey and engineering report by specialists I selected, and then even locating a delivery skipper and preparing the boat for the trip. You may count me as a thoroughly satisfied customer."

"My wife and I were impressed with Ensign's service. Tony's willingness to discuss with us at great depth various options, explain to us relative novices the various details of yachts and yachting, and acquire information on potential boats was quite surprising and refreshing to us, and indeed very impressive. Even though we in fact ended up pursuing a boat from a different brokerage, Ensign's efforts were invaluable. Thanks Tony and team!"

"Just a brief note to thank Peter and the Ensign team for their help and advice during our recent transactions. Guys, I will not hesitate to recommend you to my friends either buying or selling."

"I was very satisfied with Gordon Ross' professional approach to facilitate the sale of my yacht. He had a sound knowledge of my boat and its capabilities and therefore was able to pass on all the pros and cons to prospective buyers, thereby guaranteeing not only a happy seller but also a happy purchaser with the right boat for his needs. Gordon was always willing to help in any way he could to make the sale run as smoothly as possible and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone whether buying or selling a boat in the future."

"Caroline and I would like to take this opportunity to express to you our gratitude for the professionalism and support you have given us during the recent purchase of our new boat (new to us) – the Riviera M370. Initially, we were somewhat anxious and apprehensive about purchasing a boat interstate having heard about negative experiences in the past from other friends, but from the outset, your honest and professional approach swiftly dispelled these fears and put our minds at ease.
From our initial contact on the weekend of the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show and a further two visits from Melbourne, we were followed up relentlessly and was always available for consultation. When negotiating the purchase of our boat, Adrian respected our financial limits yet was still mindful of the owners’ needs and extracting a further $2,500 on the final day, it showed that he was always working for the owner.
Adrian, at all times you have been thoroughly professional. Your good humour and friendly personality helped us through what, on occasions, seemed quite difficult. You have spent many hours with us getting to know our needs and of course, we were both positively elated when we received the news of our purchase. We can honestly say (that as I am also in sales) you have exceeded both our own expectations.
We are pleased to recommend you to anyone in the market for an enthusiastic, professional and ethical sales agent wanting to list and sell a boat and wish you the very best for the future and we hope to engage your services in the future."

"Yacht brokers are like pebbles on the beach. You don't have to look too far to find one. That is of course if you don't necessarily want the best in the business. I myself have been dabbling in vessels from put-put boats to multi million dollar yachts for business and pleasure for the past 60 years. As a result, I have attained a broad range of knowledge based on my experience in relation to yacht brokers that have been from good, to bad and indifferent. If you were to ask me who I thought were the best in the business at this point in time, I would unreservedly state Ensign Ship Brokers.
If you were to ask me the reason for my recommendation, I would not bore you with pages of pros attesting to their grasp of the boating industry, nor would I regale you with tales of past deals done where their performance has been beyond reproach. I wouldn't point to their broad based experience and professionalism in various aspects of marine business. I wouldn't bore you with their impressive sales record, presentation, commitment etc, although all the above are true. I would sum up what they have to offer in two words – INTEGRITY and KNOWLEDGE. If you have a broker with those qualities, there is nothing else you could possibly ask for.
I have consummated a number of multi million dollar transactions through Ensign Ship Brokers and I have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in giving them my stamp of approval as a business that others in the field should seek to emulate. If you want the best, deal with Ensign."

"I wish to confirm my total satisfaction with the above vessel. The standard of workmanship and quality of the vessel and its equipment has exceeded my expectations. I express my thanks for the professional assistance and advice of Ensign in assisting me with the process of contracting, selection of options etc. Your guidance has made the process enjoyable and allowed us to avoid many pit falls. Additionally I cannot fault your after sales service. I have no hesitation in recommending Ensign to any party and would be happy to take any calls from intending customers."

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank you both for creating our dream boat. Right from the commencement of construction to completion, we have been thrilled with the cooperation and expertise shown to us at all times. There was never a moment when you did not make the time to discuss changes or alterations from the original design, which ultimately improved the end result. We have had several other locally made boats and can I suggest that the quality of this imported boat exceeds our previous boats. We look forward to spending many memorable occasions on our new boat and will take pleasure in recommending Ensign Ship Brokers to all that come aboard."

We took delivery of our Ensign 50 in August 2006, having seen the boat at Sanctuary Cove in May 2005. Ours is galley up with offset double cabin forward, a third cabin with two bunks, a walk-in pantry opposite the third cabin and the usual large master stateroom aft.
A lot of time and effort went into getting the layout right for us and during this time, nothing was too much trouble for both Ensign and the Hershine people in China. Since taking delivery we have cruised north to the Whitsundays the first year and then on to Port Douglas last year. As I write this I am sitting on the boat off Cairns and planning to move on to Lizard Island.
We remain delighted with the boat. Probably the only change we would make would be to dispense with the downstairs steering station, which we have never used, the flybridge being so comfortable and expansive. We would also probably try to get them to shoehorn in a larger desalinator.
All new boats seem to have teething problems, the measure seeming not to be whether they occur but how they are handled. In this regard we have nothing but the highest praise for Ensign. The after sales service has been so prompt and efficient that it can only be described as extraordinary. No call has been unanswered and nothing has been too much trouble. We have no hesitation in endorsing the vessel and Peter and Tony, the dealer principals.
Would we buy another boat from these people? Yes, we would.

I purchased a Compass 38 named Tiger Rag from you in February, I feel that so many people are quick to criticise and very slow to show appreciation where required.
Your business that you run in Gladstone is one of the very highest standard that I have dealt with; I felt that your professionalism was demonstrated in all areas that I had dealings with yourself and Cheryl.
My business dealings with you, Ensign in Gladstone, started with your prompt reply to my questions on Yacht Hub in relation to the listing for the yacht, this was continued on the phone and throughout the entire negotiation and sale process.
Your business etiquette and desire to satisfy was highly demonstrated not only to myself the purchaser but also Rex the seller.
You obviously have a high belief in not only a professional service to your customers but provide a service that you yourself would like from others, I felt that you went beyond what I was expecting and certainly was necessarily required, as your assistance to me continued well after the sale was completed and for this I am extremely appreciative.
Once again many thanks for your help and I wish you both all the best for the future.
